I started as a financial analyst in Hemsö’s finance department in early 2020, a role that has broadened and developed over the years. My days are mainly filled with borrowing money in the capital market via commercial papers, a kind of short-term bond. I also trade much of the electricity used by Hemsö’s properties, using forward contracts to hedge the price of electricity against future price fluctuations. Together with my colleagues in the finance department, I handle many different financing issues, both large and small.
I am also chairman of Hemsö’s sustainability committee, where we together allocate green and sustainable bonds to properties that fulfil the sustainability requirements according to Hemsö’s green framework.
The best thing about my job is that I’m constantly developing in my areas, which is a result of the market constantly moving. Working with financing at Hemsö feels like a perfect match – it combines my great interest in financing at a company that contributes to increased sustainability for everyone who is affected by our properties in various ways and for society.
Last but not least, I have a lot of fun together with my colleagues – I think that’s important!
